Tena Tena Camp is located in the excellent northern sector of South Luangwa National Park and is open June to October.
A grove of mahogany trees shade the large custom-made tents. From the thatched dining room and bar guests can watch the elephants, hippo and antelope on the river banks. Near by there is a spectacular lagoon, Buca Buca, where a whole morning can be spent quietly sitting while the game comes down to feed and drink.
With five tents, this is a very high quality, stylish and elegantly hosted camp.
The camp is related to and most often combined with Nsefu Camp, Mupamadzi Trails and Nsefu Trails in this area, Nkwali Camp in the central area and Kutandala Camp in North Luangwa.
The Luangwa Valley, which marks the end of the Great Rift Valley, is one of the last unspoilt wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa.
