Kaingo Lodge
Overlooking the Luangwa river in the prime game viewing area of the South Luangwa National Park, Kaingo's relaxed, personal and friendly atmosphere offers its guests fantastic game-viewing opportunities within an area of stark beauty and varied terrain. From the safety of your chalet you may witness some of the night time visitors to camp: an inquisitive hyena, prowling leopard, grazing hippo or silently hunting owls.
Accommodation comprises of four twin bedded chalets and one honeymoon suite with a stunning out door bath on the banks of the river. All the rooms have en-suite facilities, are well ventilated, mosquito-proofed and silently lit by solar power.
A special feature of Kaingo is the unique wooden deck built out over the river. From this relaxing vantage point one can view game coming down to drink, basking hippos, water birds fishing, and daily elephant crossings.
Set on the banks of the Mwamba River, a tributary of the Luangwa, the camp enjoys shady views of perennial water-holes. The chalets are uniquely designed with two large skylights (protected by mosquito gauze) allowing you to experience sleeping under the stars.
