KAFWALA CAMP
Kafwala Camp is built on the banks of the beautiful Kafue River and is approximately 43km above the Hook Bridge within the Northern sector of the Kafue National Park. A 7km stretch of rapids partially fronts the camp and start some 700m upstream, at which point the river is about 1km wide with many islands which support dense riverine forest.
The 12-bedded Kafwala Camp consists of four huts. Huts 1 & 2 are large chalets with three single beds each. They are joined by a breezeway which itself has two single beds, but with limited privacy. Hut 3 is a large rondavel with two single beds, whilst Hut 4 is a small double bedded rondavel. Separate to the huts are two (flushing) toilets, a shower and a bathroom. 
In addition to the huts there is a dining sitenge, a lounge sitenge, a braai area, kitchen, pantry, storeroom and staff quarters. Location wise Kafwala is a great place for an 'away from it all' tranquil and carefree break.
