Lower Zambezi Tour

Day 1
Arrive at Lusaka International Airport where there will be meet and greet and
depending on your flight time, either be taken to the Domestic lounge for your  flight to the National Park of your choice or transferred to a Lodge in Lusaka to relax and have lunch.  At night you have the choice of either to go for a tour of the city night clubs or just relax and enjoy the Zambian night sky as you await another day to be taken on an exciting Zambian bush experience.

Day 2
Transfer to Lusaka international Airport for a flight to Jeki Airstrip. Upon Arrival at Jeki Airstrip, clients will be met by a Representative from Mvuu Lodge and transferred by road to the lodge. After a light lunch and time to settle in, clients will be taken on a leisurely late afternoon boat cruise to watch a beautiful African sunset from an island. Back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3
After a leisurely breakfast, Clients will canoe to the Community Camp. This short canoe safari allows clients to identify wonderful riverine forest, and huge numbers of birds and animals including hippo, crocodile, elephant, buffalo and other antelope species. Return to Mvuu lodge for a light lunch and time to relax before being taken for a short guided environmental awareness walk. After dinner, gather around the fire again to discuss the days sightings.

Day 4
Up early to coffee/tea and biscuits and a full day in the lower Zambezi National park A parked breakfast and lunch will be enjoyed at designated spots in the park. An experienced guide will accompany these safaris to help identify animal, bird and insect species and to tell clients all about the area. Return to camp at sunset and enjoy another relaxing evening.

Day 5
Up early to tea/ coffee and biscuits and enjoy your last morning Tiger fishing or simply cruising along the river enjoying the animals, birds and absolute beauty of THE REAL AFRICA. Back to camp by mid morning for brunch and to get ready to be transferred to Chongwe River Lodge for other exciting days.

Day 6 and 7
At the Chongwe River Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi is a luxurious bush camp in the wilderness.  Wild animals like elephants are more numerous than people in the Albida grove. There are no fences and the animals have complete right of way. 

Day 8 and 9
At the Old Mondoro Bushcamp some 30km downstream of Chiawa opposite the Chewore Concession. Old Mondoro is a comfortable but simple "back to the bush" camp offering a traditional safari that focuses on wildlife in a remote setting.

Day 10
You will be transferred back to Jeki Airport and leave for Lusaka.  You will be met on arrival for a transfer by representatives from BIMM Travel Agency to board your flight back home. But depending on your time of arrival in Lusaka, you might spend the night at a lodge and leave for home the next day.
